TOP Fundraiser

Hi College Square friends and family! We’re kicking off our typical fundraiser this week. We’ve partnered with this company for a few years, and their no-contact, 100% online setup is a great fit, especially for this current crazy year! For anyone not familiar with the fundraiser, participants can earn money for College Square by shopping through the site’s links to stores such as Walmart, CVS, Sam’s Club, Children’s Place, and more. Click here for the most current merchant list. Participants can also purchase magazine subscriptions, or even send gift cards directly to their child’s homeroom teacher.

Fliers will be arriving home between Monday, 9/21, and Wednesday, 9/23. Here’s all you need to do to help us reach our goal:

  1. Go to and sign up using our school ID: 185831
(Or click here to be sent directly to the College Square page).
  2. Complete form emails inviting family, friends, and co-workers to support your student, and receive a prize code.
  3. Return the Student Participation Confirmation paper giving the student’s name and prize code.

Each student who participates and submits a prize code will win a Wild Republic Hugger. No purchase necessary! Thanks so much for your help and support. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hey all you cool cats and kittens!
Our first PTO meeting of the year is tonight, Thursday (Sept 17th), at 7pm via zoom. Link and details will be posted in the Facebook group soon. We are looking forward to connecting with you – anyone who has a child or is a teacher at CS is welcome to join!

Happy School Year’s Eve!

Happy School Year’s Eve, everyone!

Cohort A students, don’t forget your labelled water bottles and headphones/earbuds. The breakfast and lunch menus can be found here. Cohort B students, your at-home activities for August 31st can be found on the College Square home page. Virtual Students, don’t forget to charge your devices!

Cohort A, Cohort B, and Virtual families – you are all our College Square Families just like every year. Some things may be different right now, but we’re still part of the larger College Square family. Wishing everyone a great night’s rest before an exciting start to the new year!

School Supplies, Orientation Information

School Supplies

New for the 2020-21 school year, the College Square PTO will be providing the items from the official school supply list for all students (hybrid students and full virtual.) Hundreds of pencils, glue sticks, dry erase markers, crayons and more have been delivered to your students’ teachers at the College Square building. Thanks to everyone who helps with PTO fundraising and donations – you’re making this possible! In the past, we have offered to purchase school supplies for around $20 for Kindergarten and $35 for First and Second grade students. For those who have asked about donating to the PTO for this project, please use our PayPal link or feel free to send in a donation (check or cash) in a labelled envelope on your student’s first day of school.

Families participating in hybrid education are asked to send in either headphones or earbuds to plug into an iPad (not air buds or bluetooth) that will best suit your student. These will remain at school to be used during the in-school hybrid days. Please label these with your child’s name. It is optional for full virtual families to purchase this item.

Orientation Information

While not technically a school supply, hybrid families may wish to provide your student with a labelled water bottle as the water fountains have been disconnected. Check out the 20-21 School Year CS Student and Family Orientation Slides on College Square’s homepage for more specifics about snacks and treats, school meals, arrival and dismissal procedures, specials, recess, and more.

The College Square homepage has been updated with What to Expect documents for Hybrid and Virtual students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our principal, Dr. Hiles (

We look forward to supporting the College Square teachers and staff and looking for unique and different ways to stay involved with our students this upcoming year. We will be posting information about our upcoming September PTO meeting here and in the PTO Facebook group. Breathe deeply, and here’s to a great start to the school year!

Veterans Day Program 2019

November 8th, 2019 2:30pm
Information should have come home about the Veterans Day program on Friday. (Please see picture of note.)
Students are welcome to invite any special veterans from their lives to attend the program with them. Photography by James is donating their time and efforts to take a special picture of each child with their veteran. Due to this, we welcome veterans to the school at 2pm.

If anyone plans to attend, please fill out the bottom of the note coming home and return it to school so that we can communicate this to the teachers. We will also need this info to announce each veteran in attendance during the program AND for sign-in purposes.

If your veteran is unable to attend, you can email pictures to include in a slideshow. If you emailed Amanda a pic last year, you can send a message to Amanda or email her at the address below.

Please reach out to Amanda Cypher with any questions.
